| | I was listening to "Dearly Beloved" from Kingdom Hearts when I wrote
this story on the bus a few months ago, hints why the "Currently
Listening" thing is set to that. I highly suggest that you try to
listen to the song while you read the story; it helps me, at least, to
imagine it better. I mean, can't you just imagine the moonlight
shimmering through the window just as the sound of the piano seems to
shimmer? *sighs*
Anyway, this story takes place early on, like right after Trunks and
Butterfly get married and move into the castle in Hyrule. It's short,
but it's a very important event, though not as vital to understanding
the last two stories as I originally thought. ^^; I also warn you that
I didn't really bother to describe the setting much, so just know that
they're inside the castle looking out a big window and it's nighttime.

This may sound quite familiar if you read the last story, and it's supposed to. ~.^
"Someday..." he began, breaking the
peaceful silence that surrounded them. They looked together at the
visible expanse of their kingdom, the place they now considered to be
their home. "Someday, we'll fly through those skies together." He
wrapped a strong, bare arm around his angel from behind and held her
close, giving this as a signal that he meant what he said.
"And we'll be free?" she asked, fragile tears beginning to form in her
emerald eyes. He could feel her shivering under his touch, but whether
she was afraid or cold, he could not tell. Either way he held on to her
as gently as he could, hoping his warmth would spread and comfort her.
"Yes, we'll be free," he told her with a gentle smile forming on his
handsome face. "You and I will be free from pain, free from worry, free
from sadness...We'll be happy, Butterfly."
Her slender hand reached up and grabbed his arm, making him shiver at
her ice cold touch. "I'll be waiting for that day, my prince." He could
sense her sadness, even as her navy lips curved into a small smile in
the darkness.
Together they watched as a flock of crows took off into the night sky,
their black wings flapping and lifting them from the grassy field. The
two of them would do the same someday, he was sure of it. He would get
Butterfly her freedom, and they would fly away...
...together.
The end. ^.^
